THE BEST PS2 GAMES OF ALL TIME : PART 2

Introduction

In the Last Part, we talked about the best PS2 Games of all Time. This is the Part 2 & Here are More Best Games Of PS2 which are Consider as the G.O.A.T Games of PS2.

6. Metal Gear Solid 2

PS2

One of the most controversial and brilliant games of all time, Metal Gear Solid 2 constantly changes what the player thinks they know and understand about the game into something completely different.

A misinformation game that made heavy use of misinformation in its marketing, MGS2 was thematically and mechanically ahead of its time, even though it initially alienated fans and critics by replacing series hero Solid Snake with a younger and more… outspoken Raiden.

7. Silent Hill 2

Silent Hill 2 is a disorienting video game nightmare that gets under your skin and stays there for years after you play it. A more realized vision of its predecessor, Silent Hill 2 presents its central nightmarish town as a manifestation of the protagonist’s mental state, embracing an unreliable narrative, multiple endings, and an uneasy juxtaposition of the mundane with the monstrous. Its effect on the nervous system can best be conveyed by the famous call to action: Jump into a pit?

8. Final Fantasy X

Every game in the Final Fantasy series tries to diversify the gameplay and keep the genre fresh, but Final Fantasy 10 made some of the biggest changes in the history of the series. The transition to a sphere-grid of levels and the abandonment of the combat system in active time made the “Ten” more accessible, its story became easier to understand, and for the first time in history, characters appeared in game scenes that could look like real people, thanks to a hardware upgrade PlayStation 2. Sure, the game had its meme-worthy moments, but overall the story was well told and people still love it to this day, and it posed one of the most pressing questions in gaming history: Is blitzball good?

9. Okami

The idea of Okami – that you are a god in the form of a wolf, whose paintings come to life with the help of a divine celestial brush – sounds strange, but it works, and Okami is a beautiful, masterfully designed, complete work of art. Its gorgeous art style is more than enough to draw people in, but its charming story, creative puzzles, and fun combats prove to be unshakable pillars of brilliance on their own, making Okami a must-play on both PS2 and modern consoles.

10. God of War

God of War was the complete package. A technical marvel, with some of the most visually impressive boss fights ever seen, it offered a fantastic mix of combat, puzzle solving and challenging platforming, all wrapped up in a compelling story about a very, very, very evil man. Above all, however, the original God of War started what would later become one of the greatest action franchises of all time.

11. Bully

PS2

Disbarred attorney and detractor of the video game industry Jack Thompson would have you believe that Hooligan is a game that makes no sense, a public nuisance, a “Columbine simulator.” In fact, Rockstar’s Hooligan is not like that at all, because Hooligan is a game in which you fight back against bullying, build social networks that unite different isolated groups, and in which you are actually punished for the fact that you do not attend classes.

With a charming coming-of-age story that modernizes classic themes (not necessarily Rushmore-esque), Bully manages to be smart and funny, showcasing the biting satire that Rockstar is known for, while also debuting a streamlined progression system and a nice combat soundtrack that raised the bar for the studio’s games in the future.

12. James II

A unique part of the series, Jak 2 reinvents itself without losing what made the original Jak and Daxter game fantastic – that is, it still has the charm of detailed and diverse environments populated by living characters, and the excellent platforming that ties it all together. The sequel moved this dynamic duo from the colorful world of Sandover Village to the squalid dungeons of Haven City, and with this change came new combat, a new progression, and a story with far more intrigue, twists, and dynamic characters than in the previous installments. While the shootouts and carjacking (and hoverboarding) were new additions to the series, physical combat still played a huge role, and the introduction of Dark Jack made it a fantastic power fantasy that continued to evolve over time. Jak 2 is a thrilling adventure that stands out as the best game in this iconic trilogy.

13. Katamari Damacy

Katamari Damacy is absurd mayhem in the best sense. It’s the simplest mechanical concept you can find – push a ball to make it roll and get really big – combined with the craziest paint job imaginable. This non-stop parade of ridiculous scenarios and funny spectacles delights not only in how ridiculous it all is, but also in the fact that it is endlessly optimistic along the way. And while the rolling may be simple, the mechanical core is really so much fun that Katamari Damacy won people’s hearts right away and still won’t let go nearly two decades later.
