Introduction
The co-op shooter World War Z, which was released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, takes place in the universe of the film and book World War Z. A zombie epidemic is raging in the world, and survivors are trying to get to shelters to hide from it.
A group of four people will have to defend themselves from hordes of the living dead. Not only an extensive arsenal of weapons will help them in this, but also various barricades and traps.
What classes of characters are there in World War Z?
There are a total of six classes in the game. Which one you choose can greatly affect the outcome of the mission. In World War Z there aren’t as many differences between classes as there are in Overwatch, for example. But each character boasts unique skills that suit different playstyles.
Gunslinger
A character of this class has access to the fastest-firing weapons, with which he can effectively kill entire crowds of enemies. The marksman is quite easy to play because he deals a lot of damage. Most of his skills strengthen guns and optimize ammo consumption.
Demoman (Hellraiser)
This character is excellent with explosives. It is equally useful in both defense and attack. A significant part of his skills increases damage from bombs and grenade launchers.
Slasher
An excellent option for fans of hand-to-hand combat. In addition to the machete, he has a stun gun that temporarily incapacitates zombies .
This is one of the weakest characters in the game until you start using skills to increase your stamina and melee damage.
Medic
The only healing class in World War Z. He starts the game with a pistol, a shot from which restores the health of allies. He also has a camouflage grenade: throw it and the enemies will stop seeing you and your comrades.
It’s definitely worth taking a medic if you play on high difficulty levels and your team’s coordination is poor.
Fixer
A support class that supplies allies with ammunition. Very useful at high difficulty levels, when every bullet counts. If it is important to you that your team is always prepared for battle, then this class is for you.
Exterminator
It copes well with explosive substances, in particular with mines and Molotov cocktails. Many of his abilities do not deal damage immediately, but gradually, so it’s worth thinking through your attacks in advance. This is a universal class: it will be useful at any difficulty level and in any composition of fighters.
What weapons are there in World War Z
There’s a lot of it in World War Z. It is divided into three types, excluding heavy and melee weapons. In some situations, some guns are much more useful than others.
Type 1
This includes the following weapons:
Mini-21 rifle;
Gal 9 compact submachine gun;
M500 shotgun;
1911 Protector pistol;
Geist 17MP automatic pistol.
The first type of weapon is available at the very beginning of the mission – which one depends on the chosen class. Using a submachine gun and a shotgun is better for dealing with large groups of zombies. And you can install a silencer on a regular pistol to kill enemies on the sly and not attract too much attention.
Type 2
This includes:
ARK-103 assault rifle;
PAC-15 carbine;
TMP5 submachine gun;
S890 combat shotgun;
MK110 sniper rifle;
Senjata PDW compact submachine gun;
shortened shotgun S890 Shorty.
These guns can be found without any problems during the passage. They will be a good help in battle even at high difficulty levels. Particular attention should be paid to the machine gun and carbine: they cause quite a lot of damage. The combat shotgun and compact submachine gun are also good options.
Type 3
The most powerful and rare guns include:
HW416 assault carbine;
HAMR-17 assault rifle;
bullpup assault rifle XTAR-95;
improved Keris V10 submachine gun;
assault shotgun “Taiga-12”;
Repeater X crossbow.
Particularly noteworthy are the assault carbine, assault rifle and improved submachine gun. With their help, it is easiest and fastest to deal with enemies.
Heavy weapons
Large concentrations of zombies are best mowed down with this weapon:
RPG4 rocket launcher;
revolver Casull 6;
BF25 anti-material rifle;
Thumper GL grenade launcher;
Hailstorm MGL multi-charge grenade launcher;
MAG5 machine gun;
SchreiTech Forrest Warrior chainsaw;
assault rifle “Taiga-12”.
Melee Weapons
This only includes the machete and shovel. You shouldn’t use them as your primary weapon unless you’re playing as an Executioner. But if you run out of ammunition or need to quietly knock out an enemy, then melee weapons will come in handy.
How are zombies different in World War Z?
You can kill a regular enemy in World War Z without any problems. A couple of shots to the body or one well-aimed hit to the head is enough. But there are also special zombies in the game: in order not to die from their clutches, you will have to think strategically.
Swarm (Swarm)
A huge bunch of living dead who are able to climb over each other and climb over high obstacles. The swarm can look deadly. But if you put up a reliable defense and use rapid-fire weapons, then you will be fine.
If the horde is climbing the wall, then shoot the zombies that are below. This way you will throw down to the ground those who have already almost climbed up. Also, try to shoot the swarm from afar before it gets close and absorbs you.
Chemist (Hazmat)
This zombie wears a bright yellow hazmat suit. If you shoot him in the torso, a poisonous cloud of gas will form, which will gradually cause damage. Therefore, you need to shoot the chemist in the head. Preferably when he is far from you.
Bull
A large zombie in a police suit that can accelerate and knock you down. Shoot him in the back or the visor of his helmet – these are his weak points. Otherwise you’ll be wasting your ammo.
